This ring takes traditional Art Deco black onyx rings for a contemporary spin. Staying true to the look of the onyx and diamond rings of the past, this ring features a genuine old cut marquise diamond that was removed from an old ring and reset here in a new 14k yellow gold and white onyx setting. The center diamond is an estimated 0.50ct, H color, VS clarity but has not been confirmed by an appraiser. Loose, it measured 5.7 x 4.7 x 2.9mm. It's a really special shape that you don't see often in old cuts. 

A white onyx cabochon was custom cut to fit around the yellow gold bezel as a one-piece halo.

The setting is set low to the finger to protect the onyx halo and keep the setting close to the hand. Like my other gemstone halo rings, is is recommended that this ring be worn like an antique and treated with care. 

With the onyx included, the setting measures 9.7 x 8.5 mm. The band is about 1.8mm wide and thick throughout, for a solid shank that will last. It is currently a size 6 and can be carefully resized by my team. Please note that resized rings are non-refundable.

About White Onyx: 

"White onyx" is another name for white agate, and is said to be a grounding stone, bringing about an emotional, physical and intellectual balance. Agate is also a stone of marital and relational fidelity.
